Hug it Out

Matthias decided to push Charley today, so I made him give her a hug....but when he got close to her he covered his ears and said she was too loud because she was crying. So I made him go to his room instead.

Icee Colors

I don't know how much I've talked about this...but Justus is a horrible eater. He rarely eats a normal meal. He's very picky and very stubborn, so once his mind is set that he doesn't want to eat something...he won't. I feel bad that he doesn't eat so I often give in and let him eat junk....Goldfish, animal crackers, dry cereal...those types of things. Today though, I rewarded the kids with ice pops after they ate. It took a little while to get them to eat their chicken, but they all did. I was very thankful. If you have any ideas for things to feed Justus I am open to suggestions. I have the Deceptively Delicious cookbook...I'm thinking I might start using it for him.

Zoobles

So yesterday I bought the boys this little toy. I didn't even know what it was...but they did. They have loved playing with it. This little guy turns into a ball...well they all do I guess. It's kind of interesting the things that will entertain your children.

Better Late Than Never

If you ever been to our house and used our restroom then you might recognize these picture frames. They have been hanging in our bathroom for 5 1/2 years....without pictures. Today I finally put pictures in them.

Sleepin' Babe

This little boy can give me a run for my money most days. He is strong-willed, sometimes demanding, and fights me on just about everything. But you know what? I love him!

Spring Time

So today was a beautiful, snowing Spring day. Aunt Sarah also made a special trip down to see us. The kids love their Aunt Sarah!

Grilled Cheese

Today was a pretty good day. We headed to the gym and the grocery store this morning...followed by a snack and naptime. The kids took a little extra long nap today, so that was kind of nice. For dinner I made them grilled cheese and gave them some applesauce. I had to leave for work...but I got off early! Yay!!

Pre-K Screening

This morning I took Matthias in for his Pre-K screening. He was super excited about it. He had a lot of fun and did really well. He scored at or above his age in almost all the categories. He is really excited to start school next year and to ride the bus.

I'm Lovin' It

Jonathan needed to stay late this evening to get caught up on some stuff, so I decided to go to the gym this afternoon instead of this morning. I'm not a huge fan of that since taking two kids to the gym is much easier than three....and the gym is way more busy in the late afternoon....but it was actually okay. After working out I decided I didn't really want to make dinner for the kids when I got home so I stopped at McDonald's to grab a chicken mcnugget value meal....and I got to enjoy the drink...a refreshing sweet tea.

Fire it Up

Spring is in the air! I am so glad that Soring is right around the corner and we've had a nice little sneak peek of things to come. Spring also means we get to fire up the grill again! We love grilling out, so I'm definitely glad we have been able to enjoy the grill a couple of times in the past few days!

Fishin'

While outside today Justus decided he wanted to go "fishing" from the wagon. It wasn't a good day though...not a single bite! And yes I let him play outside in just his underwear.

Cowboy Justus

This morning before church Justus climbed up into the front seat of the van and announced that Cowboy Justus was driving us to church. I thought it was super cute that he referred to himself as "Cowboy Justus".

Team Work

We had our friend's the Wilson's over this evening. We played outside for a little while. Jon and I actually ran to Jos. A. Banks and one of the Wilson's took this picture. I think it's cute to see Justus and Sammy working together to give Thi and Charley a ride in the wagon.

Future's So Bright

Charley loves to wear my sunglasses. And I think she is super cute in them...so it's a win/win really.

Beautiful Day

Today was so beautiful! It was so great to go outside and let the kids run free. They didn't even need jackets. I decided since it was so nice outside I would clean up the water table and let the kids play with it. They loved it. Of course by the time we were ready to go inside the boys were completely soaked...but that's okay. It was worth it!

Silly Face

So as I was taking pictures today Thi started pouting. When I asked what was wrong he said...I want my picture taken. I said okay and told him to smile and say cheese....so he did. Then he started pouting again....so again I asked what was wrong. He said...I wanted to make a silly face....so I took his picture again.

This Face

I've seen this face a lot since getting back from vacation. Charley is extra clingy these days. Hopefully it will pass soon. I can't get anything done with her following me around crying and wanting me to pick her up.

Cowboy

Jonathan had to buy a hat in Cancun because his neck and face got sunburned our first day at the pool. Anyways, the boys found it today and wore it around the house saying, "I'm a cowboy!"

Back to Reality

I was so glad to wake up in our house this morning. I didn't realize how much I missed the kids until I saw them last night sleeping. I was so excited to get up and see them and give them all their little gifts we got them. The favorite has been this pirate ship puzzle. Justus has loved putting it together and then taking it apart again. I just got pictures all organized...so I will post pictures later this evening or in the morning.

Home Sweet Home

What a LONG day. I am exhausted! Our flight was delayed by over an hour and customs took forever. I am so glad to be home! I would type more...but I'm tired. I will post pictures in the morning!!

Cancun - Day 7

Our last full day in Cancun. It has been a great week. I will do a full recap tomorrow. Today has been wonderful. We got up this morning and headed down to the beach and took a few pictures and then grabbed breakfast. We then relaxed in the room until lunch time. We went to the Kulkulcan Plaza to grab lunch, where I spilled soda on my shirt...that's what I get for cheating and having a soda. My shirt was white, so I decided to buy a cheap $4 t-shirt. It's actually kind of cute and very soft. Anyways....after that we headed to the casino. Jon won us $40 so that's not too bad. We are getting ready to head out for our final dinner here in Cancun. I've loved vacation and spending quality time with Jonathan, but I am getting a little homesick. Our flight leaves at 3 p.m....so my next post we will be back in the states!

Cancun - Day 6

Today has been a pretty lazy day. After both Jon and I baked in the sun yesterday we figured it would be best if we didn't spend too much time out in the sun. We got up, went to breakfast and then came back to the room and read and then took a nap. We just got back from lunch at McDonald's and we are planning on going shopping before too long and then out to dinner at Outback.

Cancun - Day 5

Today we took a day trip to Isla Mujeres. It was a beutiful day for it. Unfortunately, it was very windy which made the boat ride there a little rough. We had a great day walking the island, relaxing, swimming, and eating. Jonathan and I both got a little too much sun. Hopefully it won't be too bad.

Cancun - Day 4

Today has been a lazy day. We haven't left the resort. We woke up got breakfast and then headed to the beach for a little while. We then headed back to our room where I took a 3 hour nap...what!?! Once I got up we headed down to the pool for lunch and a swim. Now we are trying to decide where to head for dinner. We haven't made a decision yet, but I'm sure it will be good. I'm in shock that it is only Tuesday. We have already done so much and it's not even mid-week yet.

Cancun - Day 3

This morning started off with massages. It was very relaxing...although I don´t know if I would do it again. We then rented a jet ski. I rode with Jon for about 2 minutes before I made him take me back to the dock. Jon then rode around for about 30 minutes. We had lunch, headed to the pool, and then back to our room for showers and a little snooze...all before 1 o´clock. We spent the rest of the afternoon just relaxing, walking on the beach. We are heading out for dinner...yum!

Cancun - Day 2

Another relaxing day...although it did rain. Most of our day was spent shopping. We did schedule massages and a trip to Isla Mujeres. We are heading to dinner in just a few minutes. Looking forward to tomorrow!

Cancun - Day 1

Jon is insisting that I keep my streak alive...so looks like I will be updating. Our day has been WONDERFUL...besides the flight. I was pretty sure we were going to die....turbulence was very bad at one point. I was thanking Jesus for allowing me to live longer than I deserve. Anyways...everything has definitely worked in our favor. We got a king size bed. We got to check in early. It's been a beautiful day. I actually got in the ocean!! We swam in the pool and just got back from dinner at Margaritaville and a little shopping. It's been a very relaxing day. I told Jonathan if we left tomorrow I wouldn't even feel cheated. Looking forward to an amazing week!

My Bags are Packed

Jon is on his way home from work. Our bags are packed. Our vacation starts in just a few short hours. We are staying over by the airport this evening to avoid having to get up quite as early. Our flight leaves bright and early at 7 tomorrow morning. I probably won't update while we're there, so look for a string of posts about vacation when we get back!

Boys vs. Girls

So this picture is a tell all of the differences between having a little girl and little boys. The boys run around like crazy all the time...Charley (while she has her run around moments) likes to chill out sometimes. I'm glad at least one child likes to chill out occasionally.

Chair Boat

Tonight before bedtime I let the boys watch Jake and the Neverland Pirates. They love this show. Justus decided he needed a boat, so he pulled one of the kitchen table chairs into the living room. Thus the chair boat was born.

Chaotic Morning

Our chaotic morning, which consisted of me getting up early so Justus could catch the bus to school, bus coming almost 10 minutes early, sprinting after Justus' school bus, Charley following in only a diaper onto the frost covered ground, catching the bus, Charley screaming because her feet are now cold from said frost covered ground, neighbor coming out because she hears a small child screaming, trying to talk to the bus driver who was not aware that Justus would be riding the bus while holding cold screaming child, finally getting the bus situation under control I headed back into my warm house with my cold naked baby....after all of that our day turned out to be quite normal. No more bus chasing or naked children escaping the house.
