Three Hour Tour

Today we took a little tour of Rantoul. Jon lived there until after 4th grade. It was fun seeing his old school and town. After the tour we went to Jon's mom's visitation, which was the real reason we were in Rantoul.

Family Time

Aunt Barbara and Cousin Greg arrived today for Judy's funeral. They stopped by the house to see the kids since they won't be headed north with us. The kids had a good time playing and reading.

Jam Session

Uncle Donnie got in town today. He is in town for Jon's mom's funeral. He is borrowing Jon's guitar to play at the funeral. He practiced a little today, and the kids loved helping him out.

Great Find

So this afternoon Charley and I made a visit to a local furniture re-sale shop. They had some pretty cute stuff...but of course most of it was too expensive for me. They had the cutest cabinet, but it was $59...boo. One thing I did find was 4 beatuifully blue mason jars. L.O.V.E. I spent $6 on them, and I'm so glad I did!

Crazy Day

It's been a crazy week. If you want details feel free to ask. Today has been a really good day though. I woke up with a better attitude today than most days, which I think helped. I might have to try that again. I spent time chasing kids around the house tickling them, watching their favorite shows, and just loving on my kids. I really enjoy days like today. This afternoon we went to the store and got some milk and a few snacks. The kids really loved these little treats...small graham crackers with chocolate icing. Yum.

The Girls

Our favorite girls came over this morning. They brought Charley a gift....this cute dress that she is wearing....L.O.V.E it!! She matched her sweet little friends. Thank you so much for the adorable dress!

I had to sneak into our room during naptime today. I found Thi asleep like this. He's too cute.

Final Game

Today was the last day for Might Ball Baseball. I got to watch Justus' game for the first half and then Thi's game the second half. Justus improved so much from the first week. He would actually play...but it was awfully hot today, so he wore out pretty quickly. Charley even got to be the ball girl for a little while!

Blessings

Today one of our friends dropped by for a few minutes. She brought a whole tub of blessings with her too....2t/3t clothes for Charley! They were much needed as we don't have many clothes for her this winter and next spring. Thank you Zettler's!!

When Life Gives You a Lemon

Justus found a lemon in the fridge this morning. He insisted on making lemonade with it. I'm not even sure where he learned to make lemonade...but we made lemonade with our lemon. I added some sugar and some other lemon juice that I had. I think it might have been more like sugar water than lemonade...but Justus enjoyed the fruits of his labor.

Uneventful

Today has been a pretty uneventful day. Jon had a half day due to working a concert last night, so I didn't make it to the gym this morning. Matthias also has a little cough, which I'm hoping he will get over in the next couple of days....it's also as hot as hades outside...yuck.

You Give Me Fever

Fever blisters that is. Or a cold sore...I don't know if there is a difference. Anyways...I don't know when the last time I got one of these was, but it's been quite a while...probably a few years. Regardless of their frequency...I'm not a fan. It started yestereday. I have been putting medicine on it. Hopefully it will clear it up a little quicker. It makes me really self-conscious having this thing on my lip.

Long Day

Today was a pretty long day....at least for Thi. He didn't get a nap and then we headed to the pool. He got a little sun, and was pretty worn out by the time we got home. He was in bed and O-U-T for the cound by 630.

While You Were Gone

While I was at work this evening....the boys decided to take advantage of Daddy being out of the room changing Charley's diaper. They got into the paper towels and started to take them off the roll. I'm just glad Jon caught them before they got much farther.

Today's the Day...

we switched to Sprint. Let's hope we don't regret it.

Cookie Face

Charley has a lot of faces. This is her cookie face. She was eating chocolate cookies...and of course got them everywhere.

Ice Cream

So today is the day before grocery shopping day, which basically means we are out of everything. I resorted to giving the kids redi-whip as a snack today since we didn't have anything else for them to snack on. The kids thought it was ice cream.

This afternoon we snacked on cookies and drank cold milk while we watched How to Train Your Dragon. It was a good afternoon.

Different Perspective

Justus loves playing with my point and shoot camera. He goes around the house taking pictures. This morning he wanted to take pictures of me making pancakes.

Boxing

Yesterday, our neighbor gave us this big box for the kids to play with. They have had so much fun outside with it.

Date Night

This evening Jon and I got to go out on a little date. One of our friends was getting married, so we went out to dinner beforehand and then got to enjoy the wedding, friends, and dessert!

Scenes from Our House

So, people always ask me if our children ever wear clothes....for the most part they usually run around in there underpants. It makes life easier. The kids only wear clothes if we are going out in public. Anyways...today I found Justus sans underpants playing legos. While running around in underpants is normal for the kids...playing with legos naked is not.

Wiped Out

I guess Justus had a long day. He fell asleep in the chaise at 530...something that never happens. I then moved him to his room.

The kids often times try to scare me. I don't know about you...but I'm scared : )

Surprise!

While changing Charley's diaper this afternoon Jonathan showed up very unexpectedly with these beautiful flowers! I was a little shocked....although I love a good surprise. He is at the Cardinals game this evening, so I didn't think I would be seeing him. The reason he came home? He got a promotion today!!!!! and he wanted to surprise me. So excited for him. He is now a Senior Trust Officer.

Happy 4th!

We celebrated with friends, food, and washers. It's been a good day!

New 'Do

The boys got summer haircuts today. They look so much better! Matthias' hair is really fine and when it gets long it just stands up and goes everywhere. Justus on the other hand is a sweaty little boy, so his hair just gets pretty gross. So it was definitely time for haircuts.

Kool-Aid

Today I made grape Kool-aid. The kids love it because it turns their tongue colors. Thi kept showing me his tongue and telling me it was changing tp purple.

Bitten

Justus decided to bite Matthias' arm today. I'm not really sure what brought this on. We have never had an issue with Justus being a "biter" but occasionally it is his go-to defense. I really wish I could witness what forces him to bite, but I am usually not in the room. It's pretty obvious when he bites Thi though.
