Prep Time

The time has finally come for us to paint our bedroom. I've been wanting to for a really long time. We haven't painted in there since right after we moved in. It's definitely time for an update! I taped the ceiling and took everything off the walls. Jon's job is to fill all the holes. We are planning on painting this weekend!

Windy City

Today was a really nice day...except for all the wind! I didn't realize how windy it was until I decided to take the kids to the park. I'm pretty sure Charley thought she was going to blow away....I thought she might too.

Cat in the Hat

Matthias' class has been discussing Dr. Suess the past couple of weeks. Today he came home with this. He wore it around the house and kept singing a Cat in the Hat song. It was pretty awesome!

Just the Beginning

Today Jon did some work around the house. He spent most of his time patching little holes and a couple of big holes around the house. The big holes have occurred due to faulty doorstops. One of which is in Justus' room. We have put several different ones in Justus' room, but they have all gotten broken or simply come loose. This has resulted in the door knob crashing into the door anytime the door is thrown open by one of our children...thus causing a big hole. Jon's work is almost done with the holes...next up will be my part...painting.

Date Night

Have I ever mentioned that we have the greatest neighbor ever? Because we do! She offered us some dinner tickets to the local KC this evening for a spaghetti dinner. We accepted and she watched our kids. We had a really good time and we even got a couple of errands done as well.

Cute Dress

Today Charley wore one of my tank tops around the house as a dress. I just tied the straps together in the back. I'm thinking this might be a good idea for a cover-up this summer when we are heading to the pool.

Spring

I cannot wait for Spring. We have had such a mild winter, but I am still looking forward to warmer weather, flowers and trees blooming, the pool! Bring it on!
